Lightning

This card came up in a protection position. Lightning can be very frightening and it is magnificent at the same time. It has the power to turn the darkness of the night into daylight. It can be an electric shock, a jolt or a wake up call to realize what is neglected or denied. Usually, these are the areas in our lives where we walk small or don't believe in ourselves. Let them come out in the light!

The formidable electrical discharge of a lightning bolt brightens the sky and strikes the Earth, accompanied by the mighty sound of thunder. This phenomenon has a positive aspect—the light illuminates the Earth and the psyche. But there is a destructive side as well; the bolt can burn, and even kill, if it’s too strong.

Life has gifted you with a destiny that is in alignment with your passion and in harmony with all existence on Earth. Now lightning has come to jolt you into accepting your destiny. Let this initiation release what is in the way of your fulfilling your life purpose. Otherwise, you’ll be bound to your karmic fate. This is a time to be courageous and daring.

Adaptability is in high demand right now. We can be very resistant to change and at the same time, we are very good at it. You can observe that all around you these days, how we all need to adapt individually and how large organizations need to do that too. It is our best tool too survive and thrive. Adapting means to radically accept what is and not offering any resistance. It wastes precious energy and time :) I think it is best to look at it as an adventure or experiment.  To go on a vision quest can be useful when you feel stuck, lost or confused. Try to empty yourself as much as possible. I mean to be really open to anything that may show up. A vision quest is not about pushing for a verification or confirmation of what we want to hear. Release any expectations. The way you'll receive a vision or guidance or information may be very different from anybody else out there who get all these cool, funky visions.
